Hey there, and welcome to The Spanglish Needle!
Come experience the next level in piercings, and more—and discover why families throughout the community choose The Spanglish Needle.
The Spanglish Needle started with an idea between friends: to create a welcoming, family-friendly studio where customers of all ages can receive high-quality piercings, paramedical tattoos, and medical aesthetic services in a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable environment.
Who We Are
Katie, NRP-LP
Katie, owner of The Spanglish Needle, began her professional body piercing career in 2009. With more than 20 years in pediatric emergency medicine—and still practicing!—she brings medical knowledge, industry expertise, and genuine compassion to every appointment. An autism mama and passionate advocate for safe piercing practices, Katie is dedicated to creating a welcoming, family-friendly space where clients of all ages and abilities feel comfortable, cared for, and confident.
Sterilization
The Spanglish Needle cares deeply about sterility and safety. We use all disposable/recyclable products by Stiletto Piercing Supply. Stiletto Piercing Supply is an innovative company ushering the piercing industry into a new era of disposable products.

For items that must be sterilized on site, we use an Enbio S Autoclave. The Enbio S is a compact, ultra-fast steam autoclave engineered used for professionals who demand safe, reliable, and efficient sterilization. This ensures our instruments are thoroughly sterilized and ready for use in just minutes.
Aftercare
Proper aftercare is essential to the healing process and longevity of your new body art. The Spanglish Needle provides detailed aftercare instructions and high-quality products to help ensure whatever you decide to do looks its best for years to come. It doesn't matter if you got pierced by us, or by someone else, we will ALWAYS help with aftercare questions or healing trouble.

We suggest kids be 4 years old or at the discretion of the parent but absolute minimum age is 6 months- after they have received their first DTaP vaccine
-
We recommend a numbing product like Ebanel. You must apply correctly before appointment and seal off the area in order for the cream to work properly. Apply one hour before appointment and we will remove in the piercing room.
-
Even when children are excited to have their ears pierced, they may need more time before taking that step. We look for signs of readiness and pay close attention to your child’s comfort throughout the appointment. We respect every child’s bodily autonomy: their body, their choice. We will never restrain a child or surprise them with a piercing, and if they say no or show us they want to stop, we stop. You’re always welcome to return when your child feels ready.

Not soaking a newly pierced area in bathtubs and large bodies of water during healing is crucial. We understand that people may swim before the healing is over. Please try to refrain from this for a minimum of TWO WEEKS and flush with saline upon getting out of water. Along with that, going to bed with WET hair resting on the piercings can cause moisture bumps prolonging the healing process. We recommend wet hair be put up for sleeping or completely dry before.
-
We understand children are just not ready sometimes. If we already opened all the sterile packets, there is a $40 restocking/Sterilization fee if piercings are not completed.
In the event only one ear is pierced, you will be charged full price for the procedure, given the second earring, and welcome to come back for the other ear when ready. The return visit charge is $40, to account for piercer/staff time and single use products. If upon second try, the piercing is not completed, then another appointment will be required, and a new piercing fee will be applied.
