KIDS LOBES

IMG_4775_edited.jpg

We pierce ears as young as 4 years old, as long as the child can communicate they want their ears pierced in their way. Tiny earlobes can shift when growing, making earrings uneven as they grow, so we don't suggest piercing younger. Parents sometimes choose to pierce ears when kids are babies. We respect a parents' right to parent how they see fit, and will not turn a family or child away for our professional recommendation of waiting. If this is something you're interested in, the absolute youngest we will pierce a child is 6 months old for their immune system to develop.  Additionally, if your child already has their lobes pierced and you are having any trouble, please stop in any time.

We are happy to help, and will not turn away any child- no matter the age!

FREEZING /NUMBING CREAM

TO BE/NOT TO BE

We suggest kids be 4 years old or at the discretion of the parent but absolute minimum age is 6 months

We recommend a numbing product like Ebanel. You must  apply correctly before appointment and seal off the area in order for the cream to work properly. Apply one hour before appointment and we will remove in the piercing room.

Sometimes as much as children want their ears done, they are just not ready for the piercing. We use multiple indicators to determine if your child is ready or not. If we feel the child is not ready, we will stop the procedure and schedule a time later when ready.

SWIMMING/

WET HAIR

UNFINISHED PIERCING FEE

Not soaking a newly pierced area in bathtubs and large bodies of water during healing is crucial. We understand that people may swim before the healing is over. Please try to refrain from this for a minimum of TWO WEEKS and flush with saline upon getting out of water. Along with that, going to bed with WET hair resting on the piercings can cause moisture bumps prolonging the healing process. We recommend wet hair be put up for sleeping or completely dry before.

We understand children are just not ready sometimes. If we already opened all the sterile packets, there is a $40 restocking/Sterilization fee if piercings are not completed.

In the event only one ear is pierced, you will be charged full price for the procedure, given the second earring, and welcome to come back free of charge for the other ear when ready. If upon second try, the piercing is not completed, then another appointment will be required, and a new piercing fee will be applied.
